Gladiatus dying?

This post is epic with pictures and stuff.
I like Gladiatus, I really do. Although I will not shed a tear should it disappear, it will still be a sad day for me.
So, is this day close? Not so sure.
First, let’s examine alexa.com stats. Alexa displays daily reach, basically saying how many people visit the site. Here's the graph:

Gladiatus looks to be a game way past it's prime, now doesn't it. Change for last 3 month: -14%.
When you compare that to gladiatus.us graph, which is hell of a lot more hectic by the way, then the overall trend is the same. Here it is:

Rather stable downward zig-zag to be honest. All is not lost me thinks despite the stone-cold facts.
Why do I think so? Some random notes:
- Downward slope will happen to any mmorpg eventually. Look for example mybrute.com alexa chart and that game was all the rage not so long ago:

- I think the game of Gladiatus is at its maturation stage currently with somewhat loyal player base. Sure old-timers are pissed over souldbound items and million other things, so some will leave. The point however is that many will stay as well.
- Gladiatus is one of the most popular games Gameforge has with Ikariam. Gameforge just recently made big developmental investment there - I think adding dungeons and Circus Turma was rather significant attempt to make the game better. Abandoning their best product doesn't seem likely. I figure higher investments into marketing will be under way (ok, it's speculative). Here's the graph for other games as well:

- I suppose Metin2, Bitefight and Battleknight are already dead looking at this graph. I don't really care about them to be honest.
-
For many, Gladiatus has become more of a social place, not a place for gaming action. Sure they go through the motions, but the biggest reason to stick around are other people - their friends and guildmates. Keeping that in mind, I would actually suggest to Gameforge to improve the forum discussions with less moderation and better in-game messaging system. The current way is and has always been a pain in the arse. I mean, who in the right mind would force other people to read messages through keyhole?
